In oil and gas extraction, Fugro’s purpose-built mapping and survey equipment has won them a reputation for industry-leading innovation. However, many of their assets are bigger than a bus and sit on the ocean floor – so showing them off at trade shows proved far from easy.
Fugro asked us to come up with an expo experience that would give them stand out and further their status as an innovation leader. We turned to augmented reality to bring Fugro’s supersized equipment to life on the trade floor.
Through bold, intuitive design, we enabled visitors to explore digital replicas of the equipment. With everything to scale, they were able to walk right up to the assets as if they were physically present. As well as reinforcing Fugro’s innovative credentials, this highly impactful interactive experience was shortlisted for that year’s Digital Impact Awards.
