MISSION Agency krow, is launching a new brand campaign for leading chocolate manufacturer Thorntons. The new work is a reflection of the chocolatiers expertise and celebrates the politeness and quirks of the British public.
The TV commercial, a first for the brand by krow, features a couple who gift a box of Thorntons to friends in their new home. The guests encourage their hosts to open the chocolates after dinner, then a bout of typical British politeness ensues as to who gets their favourite chocolates. The ad signs off with how ‘Thorntons has been finding the nation’s sweet spot since 1911’.
Rachel Jaccarini, Marketing Manager at Thorntons, said: “The new ad aims to build a connection and resonate with a younger boxed chocolate target. It brings to life British social etiquette in a humorous way, displaying Thornton’s longstanding UK heritage and deep understanding of the nation’s love for chocolate”.
