MISSION Agency, Livity, part of Bray Leino Group, has led the latest phase of I am Greater, a campaign championing positive alternatives to violence for young people aged 14 to 25 across Greater Manchester.
Created in partnership with the Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit (GMVRU) and the UK Home Office, this phase celebrates the people, organisations and activities helping young people build confidence, find belonging and see new possibilities for their future.
The Mayor of Greater Manchester, Bev Craig, joined the Livity team to officially launch the campaign.
The campaign was co-created with more than 100 young people, 10 local youth activity providers and young creative talent from across Greater Manchester, so it is rooted in local voices and real experiences.
Alex Goat, CEO of Livity, said: “The strongest work happens when young people are in the room from the start. This phase of I am Greater shows what’s possible when they lead, and we’re proud to have worked alongside GMVRU, the Home Office and so many brilliant young people and youth organisations across Greater Manchester.”
The youth activity providers featured are Stockport County Community Trust, Lindley Educational Trust, Middleton Martial Arts Academy (supported by Your Trust Rochdale), Bury Defence Academy, Boxing for Better, Oldham Greenhill Community Sports and Recreation Club, Bolton Wanderers in the Community, Hideaway Youth Project, Unity Radio and Gorse Hill Studios.
