MISSION announces two important Board changes
MISSION has appointed Barry Cook to the Board with immediate effect. As one of the founders of MISSION Agency, krow Communications, Barry has a wealth of experience leading a hugely successful creative Agency and is a welcome addition to the Group’s senior leadership team.
krow, which was founded in 2005, is ranked 16th in Nielsen's UK creative Agency listing and was recently awarded the prestigious IPA Gold Effectiveness Award for its creative work with DFS.
Barry started his advertising career at SJIP/BBDO and for the next 25 years worked across a wide variety of accounts at Agencies including Leagas Delaney, Yellowhammer, D’Arcy and Leo Burnett – where he resided as Chairman and Managing Director.
It was at D’Arcy where Barry met then Creative Director, Nick Hastings, working together on highly effective and awarded campaigns for the likes of the Central Office of Information, Fiat and Mars. In 2005, Barry and Nick founded krow Communications alongside John Quarrey and Malcolm White, with Barry as Chairman.
Mike Rose, until recently CEO of Chapter, has moved into the role of Chairman of the Agency. Acknowledging his reduced time commitment, Mike has decided to step down from MISSION Board with immediate effect.
Commenting on the Board changes, David Morgan, Chairman, said: "krow has been a great acquisition for us, strengthening our London footprint. I am delighted to welcome Barry to the Board who brings a wealth of industry knowledge and insights into the future developments of our sector. I would also like to thank Mike for his contribution to the Board over the years and look forward to his continuing focus on developing and growing the Chapter business."
