Fire Protection Association appoints Speed Communications for PR and Comms
MISSION Agency Speed Communications has been appointed by the Fire Protection Association (FPA) to manage its ongoing PR and communications. The new partnership follows the agency’s successful launch of an FPA campaign aimed at helping building owners and managers achieve stronger business resilience when it comes to the threat of fire.
The ‘Know Your Building’ campaign saw Speed deliver targeted media relations and organic digital outreach as well as the creation of a new interactive ‘Fire Blind Spots Calculator’. The campaign resulted in extensive coverage in key sector titles in fire safety, construction and the built environment, which focused on the significant financial impact of fires on organisations of all types, based on newly released FPA data over large fire-related losses.
Targeted at those responsible for fire safety in buildings – including building owners and managers, and business owners – the campaign aimed to highlight the importance of building knowledge in reducing risk to life and significant property damage.
Following the campaign’s successful launch, Speed has now been appointed to provide ongoing communications support for the FPA. This includes media relations and the production of a new monthly FPA podcast – Assembly Point – sourcing guests from across the industry to join the debate on improving fire safety in the built environment.
