MISSION Made is a Production, Product & Innovation Studio that provides services to businesses within The MISSION Group; a collective of Creative Marketing Agencies across UK, Europe, North America and South East Asia. Our main capabilities are Digital Strategy, Design, Development and Video, supported by our Delivery team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

  • Deliver a range of web development projects including websites, content management systems, web applications, integrations and bespoke product builds
  • Provide robust and accurate estimates for upcoming jobs
  • Be able to fully understand, interrogate and follow job briefs
  • Deliver briefed jobs on time, to estimate and specification
  • Suggest technical approaches and solutions to briefs and be able to deliver to agreed specification
  • Support colleagues, particularly Development Team Lead, in recommending the most appropriate way of delivering any given project
  • Provide early identification of any upcoming challenges for the delivery of work. Be alert to relevant risks related to your jobs. Work with relevant colleagues to find solutions and mitigate any negative impact
  • To remain up to date with the most common development techniques, processes and applications and be able to apply these to our work in a timely and appropriate manner

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a web developer
  • Experience of working in an Agency environment with a good understanding of development team processes and ways of working
  • Excellent and up-to-date technical knowledge of PHP systems and web server administration
  • Ability to work in a variety of CMS / frameworks – WordPress and Laravel are essential
  • Experience of working with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React.js, React-Native, Angular, Node.js
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Comfortable using API integrated systems
  • Knowledge of using GIT or similar version control system
  • Web server administration
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • An enthusiasm for code
  • Great problem-solving abilities
  • An active interest in new methods and technologies
  • Creative and innovative thinking

  • Flexibility and reliability
  • The ability to work to deadline and prioritise workload effectively
  • Can multi-task and work on several projects at once

 

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

  • Successful delivery of key priorities and objectives agreed as part of the development review and Room to Grow programme
  • Meeting – and ideally exceeding – a chargeability expectation of 85% of time
  • Growth in the types and scale of digital work for Agencies; both existing and new Clients
  • Agency satisfaction with the service provided by Made. Measured using surveys and feedback collected from all stakeholders
  • All MISSION Made individuals and teams are expected to operate and perform in a way that befits our Values and Behaviours (see separate document)
