Creative Artworker, Bristol

Salary dependant on Experience + Benefits

This is a new opportunity for a creative artworker to join the team at Bray Leino Events. Our projects are complex and diverse. They make international headlines, so we need someone with a great eye to help us make sure our work looks incredible no matter where it’s seen, up in lights, online, or in the news…

So if you’re looking for something to get your creative teeth into, read on…

Who are we?

We are Bray Leino Events, 100+ event professionals, working out of offices in Bristol, London, Devon, Stratford and Chicago. We deliver upwards of 200 events every year, from exhibitions and conferences, to summits, galas, awards, product launches, roadshows and everything in between.

We work all over the globe, face to face and virtually, with brands, businesses, charities, and governments who all have one thing in common – they have a key message that needs to be articulated through the unique environment of a live event.

These are not standard events. We imagine differently. We create spaces where leaders make international headlines, and sometimes change the world.

And we have great time doing it.

The role

We’ll want your input on creative decisions across all manner of briefs, and we’ll need you to help us deliver the right look and feel across multiple platforms and formats, brochures, digital and social, infographics, presentation decks.

You’ll be setting up and sense checking files up for print and delivery and working closely with the creative services manager to make sure deadlines are hit.

You’ll be joining an experienced creative team, reporting to our Design Director. This will have elements of creative and technical artworking, so the day-to-day work will be varied, and we’ll often be searching for ways to inject creativity around tight brand guidelines.

About you

You’ll be able show us your design and typographic skills, typesetting and ability to use style sheets. Maybe you’ll explain how you use these skills to solve creative problems and smash jobs out of the park.

Obviously, you’ll know how to use the tools of the trade: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat. And if you’ve got experience using After Effects, that’s a bonus!

Most importantly, you’ll understand what goes into great traditional and contemporary design, across illustration, logos, icons, signage, event graphics. And like us, you’ll take massive professional pride and satisfaction in delivering work that’s as good as it can be.

What we offer

For starters, you get 25 days holiday, which goes up to 29 after 2 years. There’s a company pension scheme, cycle to work scheme, and an extensive employee discount scheme that will save you money on everything from gym memberships to eating out.

We play hard. We throw awesome seasonal staff socials, finish early on Fridays in the summer, and we close down every year between Christmas and New Year.

We’ll look out for your wellbeing. There’s a medical plan that pays cashback on your dental treatment, glasses, physio and things like that; plus, it features an employee assist programme with a 24hr GP hotline and wellbeing support service. And if you refer a friend to come and work for us, we’ll pay you a finder’s fee.

The serious stuff

We take the serious stuff seriously. You’ll be given access to the learning and development you need to grow and progress. And we have clear codes of conduct and policies on issues like equality, diversity & inclusion, and sustainability. So if you have a view or an idea, we’ll want you to be involved in helping us always be better.
