According to Tetra’s research, long working hours, not having enough time, money worries and the dreaded commute are among the most stressful things about living in London. With 50% of Londoners claiming to have less than one hour of ‘me time’ each day, Speed teamed up with Tetra to create a custom built, aquatic pop-up experience, giving people a relaxing retreat in the heart of Tech City.
The Tetra Tranquillity Tank opened on 8th September for a week at Old Street tube station in a bid to calm the Capital’s stressed-out population. The tank offered a sensory experience where visitors could unwind in relaxing seating and listen to therapeutic, underwater sounds, observe tranquil water projections and special-effect lighting with the scent of plants and freshly brewed herbal tea. Experts were also on hand to answer questions about fishkeeping.
Giuliano Buccino, Head of Marketing at Tetra, said: “We created the Tetra Tranquillity Tank to offer Londoners the opportunity to experience the positive effect that aquariums and fish can have on both your mental and physical wellbeing. Not only did it provide a relaxing environment away from the hustle and bustle of city life but it also allowed us to showcase a range of our most popular aquariums, filled with beautiful fish and landscapes, to inspire visitors.”
