Mission agency Big Communications wins GRAMIA award for Mr. Porky campaign

The Mission Marketing Group plc ('themission®`), the national marketing communications and advertising group, today announces that its agency, Big Communications, has been awarded a GRAMIA award for its campaign for Mr. Porky pork scratchings

The Grocery Advertising and Marketing Industry Awards (GRAMIA) were launched in 1994 and recognise exceptional performance in the highly competitive FMCG market, rewarding both client and agency for creative excellence and achievement. The awards encompass all advertising and marketing in the FMCG industry - from TV and cinema to radio and field marketing.

Mr. Porky is the UK's biggest seller of savoury pork snacks with a wide range of products. The campaign aimed at driving Mr. Porky towards becoming the first-choice adult pub snack and built on the sponsorship link with world number five darts player Peter Manley. The team at Big Communications produced a series of predominantly in-bar posters using Mr. Porky's now trademark bright pink brand colour. Each execution reinforced the brand's fun personality with headlines including "Boar d'oeuvre, anyone?", "Meat for drinks" and "Get your pigs 'ere". Each poster was signed off with Mr. Porky's brand strap line "Great taste. No porkies."

The campaign resulted in a 19% brand share increase and added substantial top line growth. Furthermore, a lucrative pub partnership was secured with Greene King which saw increased product availability in over 700 outlets nationwide.
