Bray Leino re-appointed to WRAP roster

8th February 2008

The Mission Marketing Group plc (‘themission®`), the national marketing communications and advertising group, today announces that its agency Bray Leino has been reappointed to work for WRAP (Waste & Resource Action Programme). Bray Leino have been reappointed to the Marketing roster and additionally have been newly appointed to the PR roster.

The appointment comes as WRAP, funded by Defra and the Scottish and Welsh Governments, prepares to launch its new three-year Business Plan and commence delivery of a new Communications Strategy. The communications roster review covered marketing, design, PR and exhibitions and the roster now includes a mix of existing and new agencies.

WRAP, launched in 2000, has so far commissioned projects that will save, over their lifetimes, over 12 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions. Additionally, the Recycle Now campaign has resulted in an increase in consumer recycling rates, now with CO2 savings equivalent to taking five million cars off the road.

Bray Leino, who have worked with WRAP since 2003, will continue to work on campaigns designed to raise understanding and awareness of its activities.

Nick Gammage, the newly appointed Director of Communications at WRAP who led the roster review process said: "Effective communications with stakeholders are critical to WRAP in driving the waste reduction and recycling agenda. We are entering a critical phase of our development and are delighted to be working with such high calibre agencies at a time when climate change and resource management are so high up the political and social agenda. The successful agencies demonstrated both high quality thinking and an obvious passion to work alongside WRAP in this area."

Iain Ferguson, CEO of themission, commented: "Bray Leino's re-appointment to the WRAP roster demonstrates the strength of their specialist teams in the environmental arena and their proven ability to deliver effective communications. We are delighted to be working with such a key client during this time of increased environmental awareness and conscience. "
