Bowled Over: New Client Win for RLA

Bowlplex plc, the bowling and leisure corporation, has selected The Mission agency RLA to develop its brand positioning, and then roll it out throughout the UK to support the growing Bowlplex chain.

RLA Group will oversee all campaigns and advertising, including press and radio, for all Bowlplex sites. The first project will be the development of the Bowlplex Christmas campaign, consisting of posters and emails, plus leaflets for distribution in sites and through the post.

Mission Chief Executive Iain Ferguson commented "We're delighted that RLA has been appointed to work with the team at Bowlplex. Bowling is a great product - fun, safe, socially oriented...and active in a way that can be enjoyed by all. Frances D'Ardenne, Bowlplex's Manager of Corporate Brand and Public Relations, said, "Following several pitches from agencies across the country, I am delighted to announce that RLA Group was successful in tendering for the Bowlplex contract.

"Bowlplex is currently growing at a rapid rate with the launch of a new ten-pin bowling centre in Cwmbran, South Wales in a matter of weeks. This will be followed by the launch of another new ten-pin bowling and entertainment centre in Camberley at the start of December this year. I'm thoroughly looking forward to working with RLA Group to ensure greater consistency of the Bowlplex brand and, ultimately, an even better bowling experience for all our customers."

Bowlplex, cited by the Deloitte Indy 100 Awards as one of the UK's fastest growing companies, owns and operates 16 family entertainment centres in England, Scotland and Wales. Bowlplex provides entertainment for everyone from families to corporate groups with 10-pin bowling, the late licensed Stadium Sports Bar and Grill serving delicious food, Video World with the latest arcade technology, sporting events on big screen TVs, dancing and the American Pool Pit.

The company generates over £29m a year, and employs 650 staff nationwide.
