Leicester-based Big Communications is set to appear on Channel 4's ‘Vocation, Vocation, Vocation' next month.
The multi award-winning agency was recently approached by programme makers, IWC Media, to participate in the10-part TV series, which is running throughout November and December.
As part of the programme, 17 year-old Kirstie Adcock from Leicester spent the day under the watchful eye of a TV crew gaining a unique insight into life at the busy advertising agency on London Road.
This involved her taking a live brief from the creative team working on Mr Porky Pork Scratchings (one of the Red Mill Snack Food brands), followed by meeting with the designers, client servicing team and a brainstorm session at the local pub. The day finished with her presenting her initial ideas to the creative directors.
Says Dylan Bogg, Group Creative Director at Big Communications: "We were very impressed by Kirstie. She was keen to find out more about the advertising industry and I hope the time she spent with us has provided her with a useful insight."
Adds Kathryn Ross, Series Producer for ‘Vocation, Vocation, Vocation': "The series focuses on 16 and 17 year-olds weighing up their career options after school or college. We are extremely grateful to Big Communications for showing Kirstie what goes on behind the scenes within an advertising agency. It would appear they have made a good impression because I understand that she is now thinking of studying advertising at University."
The episode of ‘Vocation, Vocation, Vocation', featuring Big Communications is scheduled to be transmitted at 9.30am on November 9.
