Bray Leino laps it up at Cream Awards 2007

Bray Leino has recorded its biggest ever haul of trophies at this year's Cream Awards which recognise excellence in the creative industry in the English and Welsh regions.

The agency collected no fewer than 10 awards - three gold, three silver and four bronze - the largest number won by any agency at this year's event at the National Motorcycle Museum in Coventry.

Two of the gold awards - Best Low Budget and Best Unusual Size or Special Build - were part of a campaign created for Bristol-based sustainable transport charity Sustrans.

The campaign included a magazine ad depicting a car tax disc bearing the words ‘Tax your thighs instead' and a mocked-up £50 note that could be inserted in car fuel filler caps to encourage people to consider the savings that could be made by choosing to cycle instead of driving.

The other gold earned by Bray Leino's creative team was Best Item of Self Promotion for its Christmas card campaign in aid of an anti-landmines' charity which featured a gingerbread man with only one leg. 

The agency also received two silver and three bronze awards for a series of religious-themed ads created to promote this year's Fresh Creative Awards.

The Fresh Awards ads used a ‘ten commandments theme' to encourage creative agencies to put their most recent work forward for judging, and played on the ‘deadly sins of advertising', including ‘Thou shalt not covert thy first idea' and ‘Thou shalt not commit adultery with thy judges'.

Jack Kramer, creative director at Bray Leino's Bristol office, says: ‘Our creative standards are very high here, but it's especially rewarding to have our work so widely recognised by the rest of the industry. We are currently on a big roll as we've collected 17 creative industry accolades in the last month."
