themission® agency Big Communications produces Princes' TV commercials

14th September 2007

The Mission Marketing Group plc ('themission®'), the national marketing communications and advertising group, announces that Big Communications, its Leicester based agency has produced new TV commercials for food and drink group Princes.

The primetime TV campaign, which broke in September, is the focal point of a £4 million integrated brand building campaign by the leading food and drink group. It will focus on the different ways in which Princes' products can be enjoyed by different people in different situations.

The series of 30-second commercials are the end result of a major six-month strategic brand planning process undertaken by Princes and supported by Big Communications, who provided strategic input into consumer research and positioning work.

Big Communications has worked for the soft drinks arm of Princes since 2003, handling creative work for brands such as Aqua-Pura and Jucee. Late last year, Big Communications was appointed the lead brand strategy agency for the Princes Group after a three-way pitch.

Jon Harvey at Fresh Films, best known for his work with Morrisons, directed the ads, with support from a team led by Mark Firth, creative director at Big Communications. Jools Holland's version of Prince Buster's 'Enjoy Yourself' has been chosen to add energy, warmth and fun to the ads. The television will be supported by a heavy-weight press campaign in national consumer titles between September and March 2008.

Iain Ferguson, Chief Executive of themission® said: "Princes has a stable of iconic brands and is a dynamic company in an excellent period of growth. themission group is delighted that Big Communications are playing their part in the company's marketing strategy with this exciting campaign."
